Release of the Second GEN-YOUTH Project Newsletter
The University of Oum El Bouaghi reaches a new milestone in the implementation of its OCAP Action Plan.
The University of Oum El Bouaghi (UOEB) is pleased to announce the release of the preliminary version of the second newsletter of the Erasmus+ GEN-YOUTH project (Strengthening South Mediterranean Organizations for Youth Employability), highlighting the key activities and achievements accomplished during the month of July 2026.
As an active partner of the GEN-YOUTH consortium, UOEB continues to contribute to strengthening institutional capacity and promoting youth employability across the South Mediterranean region. This edition presents the University’s progress in implementing its Action Plan stemming from the Organisational Capacity Assessment (OCAP), translating strategic recommendations into concrete institutional initiatives.

- Successful participation in the first international OCAP mentoring session, held on 2 July 2026.

University of Oum El Bouaghi to Participate in Erasmus Days 2026 with the VRinVET Project
Virtual Reality in Vocational Education and Training
About the Event
The University of Oum El Bouaghi (UOEB) is pleased to announce its official participation in Erasmus Days 2026, through a dissemination event organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building project VRinVET – Enhancing the Quality of Vocational Education and Training through Virtual Reality.
The event will take place on 17 October 2026 at the Institute of Technology of Ain M’lila and will bring together academics, teachers, students, institutional representatives and socio-economic stakeholders interested in digital transformation and innovation in vocational education and training.
The event aims to present the main achievements of the VRinVET project and demonstrate how Virtual Reality technologies can improve vocational education by providing immersive, interactive and safe learning environments. Participants will discover innovative educational practices, explore the project’s technological solutions and discuss future perspectives for integrating immersive technologies into teaching and professional training.
As part of Erasmus Days 2026, the University of Oum El Bouaghi reaffirms its commitment to international cooperation, educational innovation and the development of digital skills aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme.

Vietnamese Scholarship Program 2026/2027
The Vice-Rectorate for External Relations announces the opening of applications for outstanding students for scholarships (Master’s level) at Vietnam Maritime University, as part of the international cooperation agreements of the University of Larbi Ben M’hidi.
Targeted Specializations
The program covers strategic specializations including: Maritime Affairs, Global Economy, Logistics, Management and Economics, as well as Information Technology and Engineering.
Application Requirements and Procedures
2. Translation: All documents not written in English or Vietnamese must be accompanied by an official translation.
3. Submit the file: Interested students must submit their complete files to the Vice-Dean’s office or the Vice-Directorate for Post-Graduation, Scientific Research, and External Relations at their home university.
Important Dates
Deadline: The final deadline for submitting files to the university’s faculties and institutes is June 24, 2026.

International English Language Olympiad 2026
The largest global educational event under the theme: Artificial Intelligence
Comprehensive Overview
The International English Language Olympiad (ELO-UNI) is considered the most important and largest event of its kind globally. This educational activity aims to advance English language skills, promote the use of modern learning theories and scientific research methods, and acquire teamwork and community service skills. The Olympiad will be held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from December 17 to December 19, 2026, with an expected participation of 1,500 students from 40 countries.
Olympiad Axes and Objectives
The Olympiad focuses on several key areas: scientific research projects, community service, theatrical performance, teamwork, and English language testing. The event aims to activate the spontaneous and automatic use of the English language in a real-world context, develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills among participants, and produce recommendations and policy papers that support Sustainable Development Goals.
Participation and Organization Conditions
- Team: The team consists of 5 students (aged 18–24) in addition to one coach/supervisor.
- Costs: Participating teams are responsible for travel tickets, accommodation, and the established registration fee (1,000 Dinars).
- What the Administration Provides: The Olympiad administration provides the coach’s uniform, lunch meals, work tools, and material prizes for the teams.
- Judging: Team performance is evaluated by impartial, specialized judging committees from various countries according to pre-announced criteria.
Registration Dates: Team registration begins on March 1, 2026, and the final deadline for submitting applications is October 17, 2026.

2026-2027
In the framework of the cooperation agreement between Algeria and Mauritania, Larbi Ben M’hidi University announces the opening of applications for a PhD scholarship for the top-ranking students (2024-2025).

- Copy of the Bachelor’s degree (students of Higher Schools are not eligible)
- Copy of the Master’s degree (2024-2025 academic year)
- Certificates of enrollment for the five years

- PhD thesis project
- Copy of the first page of the passport
One candidate will be selected per specialization based on academic merit. Concerned students are requested to submit their complete files to the Vice-Dean’s office or the Vice-Director of the Institute for Post-Graduation, Scientific Research, and External Relations, no later than Monday, June 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
