Geoscience collaboration and student innovation

On 26 October 2025, the Natural Resources and Sensitive Environments Research Laboratory received a scientific delegation from Selçuk University, Konya. The university’s report states that geology students presented their startup concept, Rare Terra Innovation, and that the visit included discussion of research coordination and possible joint projects.

The project concerns the exploration, valorisation, and extraction of rare earth elements from phosphate using smart reactors. The faculty later reported that Rare Terra Innovation received the “Innovative Project” label and that the Master 2 dissertation was defended on 3 December 2025. These sources document student research and innovation in geosciences; they do not quantify biodiversity or habitat outcomes.
