Oum El-Bouaghi University is committed to providing a safe and respectful campus environment for all members of our community. We have zero tolerance for any form of harassment, including but not limited to verbal, physical, or online harassment. Our Anti-Harassment Policy is designed to ensure that every individual can study, work, and engage in university activities free from harassment and intimidation.

Harassment is defined as any unwelcome conduct, comment, gesture, or action that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment for an individual or a group based on their protected characteristics.    

Our Anti-Harassment Policy covers the following Key Principles:

  • Prohibited Conduct: We strictly prohibit any form of harassment, including, but not limited to, bullying, stalking, discriminatory jokes, offensive language, unwanted advances, or any behavior that undermines the dignity and well-being of others.
  • Reporting Mechanisms: We provide accessible and confidential reporting channels for individuals who experience or witness harassment. Reports can be addressed to designated campus officials or through an online reporting system.
  • Investigation and Response: Upon receiving a report, we will conduct a thorough, impartial, and prompt investigation. We take all reports of harassment seriously and will take appropriate actions to address the situation, which may include disciplinary measures.
  • Support and Resources: We are committed to supporting individuals who have experienced harassment. We offer access to counseling services, advocacy, and other resources to help affected individuals navigate the process and find the support they need.
  • Education and Prevention: We conduct regular educational programs and awareness campaigns to promote a culture of respect, understanding, and consent. These initiatives aim to prevent harassment, raise awareness about its impact, and empower individuals to stand against it.
