Oum El-Bouaghi University is dedicated to fostering a safe and respectful campus atmosphere for all members of our community. We maintain a strict zero tolerance policy against any form of harassment, which includes but is not limited to verbal, physical, or online harassment. Our Anti-Harassment Policy aims to guarantee that every individual can study, work, and participate in university activities without facing harassment or intimidation.

Harassment is characterized as any unwelcome behavior, comment, gesture, or action that fosters an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment for an individual or a group based on their protected characteristics.

Our Anti-Harassment Policy covers the following Key Principles:

  • Prohibited Conduct: We have a strict policy against any type of harassment, which includes, but is not limited to, bullying, stalking, discriminatory jokes, offensive language, unwanted advances, or any actions that compromise the dignity and well-being of others.
  • Reporting Mechanisms: We offer accessible and confidential channels for reporting incidents of harassment, whether experienced or witnessed. Reports can be submitted to designated campus officials or through an online reporting system.
  • Investigation and Response: Once a report is received, we will carry out a comprehensive, unbiased, and prompt investigation. We take all harassment reports seriously and will implement appropriate measures to address the situation, which may involve disciplinary actions.
  • Support and Resources: We are dedicated to assisting individuals who have faced harassment. We provide access to counseling services, advocacy, and various resources to help those affected navigate the process and obtain the necessary support.
  • Education and Prevention: We regularly conduct educational programs and awareness campaigns aimed at fostering a culture of respect, understanding, and consent. These initiatives are designed to prevent harassment, increase awareness of its effects, and empower individuals to take a stand against it.
