The University of Oum El Bouaghi makes significant efforts to encourage female students to enroll in fields where women are traditionally underrepresented, such as science and technology, as well as architecture, urban planning, and city professions, in addition to sports and agriculture. Through its guidance policies and academic support, the university has witnessed a notable increase in the number of female students in these fields, reflecting the success of its strategy in promoting women’s participation in disciplines that have traditionally been male-dominated. The 2025 first-year cohort includes 2,891 female students among 4,103 starters (70.46%).
The 2025 first-year intake data report 206 female students among 410 new entrants in Science and Technology (50.2%), 141 of 224 in Architecture, Urban Planning and City Professions (62.9%), and 29 of 202 in Physical and Sports Science and Techniques (14.4%).
