Volunteer activities and awareness campaigns

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, which falls on February 4 each year, and as part of the twinning between cultural clubs, today, Tuesday February 6, 2024, the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural and Sports (Dacsoeb), through which the International Club of Pioneers of Culture and the University Scout Club organized an awareness campaign in the center, notably by distributing awareness clips on the need to donate blood, in especially for cancer patients, to save their lives. emphasizing that this noble process is a humanitarian act before being voluntary.

Activate the cultural movement at university and encourage the exchange of cultures between different communities

As part of the revitalization of the cultural movement at the university and the encouragement of cultural exchanges between various societies, and under the supervision of the Sub-Directorate of Activities, the International Culture Pioneers Club, with the participation of the FiveHobbies EnglishClub Cultural Club and the BioArt Scientific Club, organized a cultural exchange meeting between countries on Wednesday April 17, 2024, in the theses balance room of the central library of the university, in the presence of the rector of the university, Professor Dibi Zohir, who supervised the opening of this activity and praised the role of students in the creation of interactive cultural spaces between local and foreign students, in the presence of the secretary general, the vice-rector of external relations and the deputy director of activities, the manager. from the university’s media and communications unit, executives from the activities sub-directorate, the university’s central library and the university services directorate.
The activity witnessed positive and distinctive interaction from the students through the introduction to the different cultures, customs, traditions and dialects of the countries of Mauritania (Hassaniya dialect), Nigeria (Hausi dialect) and Algeria (in the Chawi and Kabyle dialects).
