At the University of Oum El-Bouaghi, we are dedicated to ensuring a campus environment that is free from discrimination, harassment, and prejudice. Our goal is to cultivate a community that values diversity, upholds individual rights, and promotes equal opportunities for all, regardless of race, color, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Our Anti-Discrimination Policy serves as a foundation for safeguarding dignity, fairness, and equality among all members of the university community, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Any form of discrimination—whether based on racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or ableism—is strictly prohibited.
Core principles of the policy include:
- Equal Treatment: Ensuring respect and equal opportunities for everyone’s personal and professional growth.
- Non-Discrimination: Prohibiting any form of discrimination or harassment based on protected characteristics, in accordance with national and international laws.
- Inclusive Environment: Promoting a welcoming and respectful campus culture that embraces diversity and understanding.
- Support and Reporting Mechanisms: Offering confidential and accessible channels for reporting discrimination or harassment, along with support services for affected individuals.
- Education and Awareness: Conducting regular training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns to challenge stereotypes and foster inclusion.
- Accountability: Promptly investigating all reported cases of discrimination and taking appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
The University’s commitment to anti-discrimination is a key part of its mission to create a respectful, inclusive, and empowering academic community that values diversity and encourages the full potential of every individual.
