The University of Oum El Bouaghi is firmly committed to maintaining a work environment free from all forms of discrimination and to ensuring equal opportunities for every individual, regardless of religion, gender, or age. The university enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any discriminatory behavior. This commitment is reflected in its continuous efforts to promote dignity, respect, and fairness for all members of the university community, irrespective of their background or identity.

The University Charter explicitly prohibits discrimination based on gender, nationality, socioeconomic status, religion, political beliefs, disability, or illness. It also identifies the following as punishable offenses:

  • Acts of racism or discrimination against individuals based on nationality, religion, political opinion, race, minority status, social background, illness, or disability.
  • Any form of hate speech that incites, promotes, or justifies discrimination, hostility, or violence, or that expresses contempt, humiliation, or hatred.

Violations of these provisions are classified as fourth-degree offenses under university regulations.

According to the ethical charter, any form of discrimination based on race, gender, color, ethnicity, language, handicap, or violation of human rights is considered highly serious.

According to Article 168 of the internal regulations of the University of Oum El Bouaghi, the university’s employees must carry out their duties with respect, impartiality, integrity, transparency, and honesty. These are principles that everyone must respect and implement.
