Ambient intelligence, a fusion between artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept aimed at taking better advantage of future technologies in order to offer an intelligent space for access to information and to digital services allowing adapted, natural and user-friendly use. Our research work focuses on Ambient Intelligence Systems (AIS) in general and on IoT systems in particular.
The AIS team has aimed, but not limited to:
– Analysis of the behavioral characteristics of AIS (respect. IoT) using Data Science techniques.
– Development, Monitoring, Intelligent Control, Prediction, Decision Making and Diagnosis of AIS (respect. IoT) by combining the use of new Information and Communication Technologies, advanced software engineering approaches, vision by computer as well as AI techniques such as multi-agent systems, machine learning, deep learning and fuzzy reasoning.
– Hardware and software design, prototyping, deployment and industrialization of IoT systems.
– Proposal of Methodologies, models and architectures for the rigorous and safe development of AIS (respect. of IoT) using formal methods.
– Study of the challenges of the AIS and proposal of the strategies to be undertaken to overcome the underlying problems.
– Development of methods, strategies and prototyped systems for efficient and economical management of smart cities (Smart City).
– Study and Development of Internet of Every Things systems.
