Nominations Open for the Islamic Development Bank Award in the field of

"Effective Achievement in the Islamic Economy" for the year 1442H/2021G

The University of Oum El Bouaghi through the Ministry of Higher Education has the honor to inform you that the Islamic Development Bank has announced the launch of its annual award that will reward effective achievement in the Islamic economy for the year 1442H / 2021G.

For reference, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Prize for Impactful Achievement in Islamic Economics is the reformed version of the IsDB Prize in Islamic Economics, Banking & Finance. The IsDB Prize in Islamic Economics, Banking & Finance is an international award instituted in 1408H (1988G) with the objective of recognizing, rewarding and encouraging creative efforts of outstanding merit in the fields of Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance. The reform of the 32-year-old Prize is aimed to widen its scope and reward outstanding achievements focused on solving contemporary challenges and meeting the 21st Century aspirations, guided by the principles of Islamic Economics.

The Prize is in the following two categories:

  • Prize for Development Solution Achievement: This category will recognize and reward successful projects that solve important development challenges in IsDB Member Countries.
  • Prize for Knowledge Contribution: This category will recognize and reward significant contributions to knowledge in areas related to Islamic Economics that have the potential to solve major development challenges of IsDB Member Countries.

In this context, the Islamic Development Bank invites university and research institutions, through them professors and researchers, to submit their nominations, before the 30th of November 2020 over its electronic portal at the following address: https://prize.isdb.org
