Scientific Description of The Team’s Research Program
The research theme of this team falls within the framework of valorization of Algerian mineral resources. Among the mineral resources currently envisaged is the valorization of phosphates from the Tebessa region, where the current technology in place does not make it possible to obtain competitive products on the international market. The first step is the characterization of the phosphate ore, using certain physical and physicochemical methods. Secondly, we considered the study of the adsorption of certain flotation agents on the minerals included in the composition of phosphates. This study is carried out by involving doctoral students supervised in the laboratory. Finally, we will try to propose a technology for enriching Algerian phosphates at the laboratory level using the flotation process by adding certain collectors specific to this type of ore.
