- Internships, Scientific and Educational Events on Waste Management
Field Internships: In the context of Algerian-German cooperation and the partnership between the University of Oum El Bouaghi and the German Agency for Waste Management (GIZ), a special internship on urban waste management has lasted for eight days in collaboration with the economic partner, GIZ. This internship included field visits and theoretical workshops

Information Days: The staff of the University of Oum El Bouaghi and the clubs of Green Eco Star and ‘Madinaty’ participated in an information day on the management of slaughterhouses waste, household waste, and similar waste types. This event was organized by the Environmental Directorate of Oum El Bouaghi.

Training Courses: In line with the directives of the University Rector, Pr. Zohir Dibi, encouraging the university to engage with the social and economic environment, a group of teachers and first-year students of Urban Waste Management at University of Oum El Bouaghi participated in a training course on creating small or startup enterprises in the field of Urban Waste Valorization. The course revolves around the theme of “Sustainable Local Economy and Productive Urban Waste.”

- Field Trips on Waste Management
Field Trip 01:
As part of the University’s engagement with its economic and social surroundings, the Institute for Urban Technical Management organized a field trip to the industrial zone in Ain M’lila to closely observe the processes of industrial waste management and their treatment at both the Prolipos vegetable oil production complex and the FABCOM car battery production complex. The field trip was led by Professor Hossam Barkani, Head of the Urban Technical Management Department, and Professor Toufik Mazouz, the Entrepreneurship Coordinator at the University, along with an instructor from the Institute for Urban Technical Management.

Field Trip 02:
In the framework of planned scientific trips, the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities, represented by the Innovation Tech scientific club at the Faculty of Science and Applied Sciences, a scientific trip to the waste processing and recycling company (Bio Was). This trip included visits to three sections of the company, including the showroom.
