The University of Oum El Bouaghi is dedicated to establishing a workplace that is devoid of any prejudice and ensuring equal opportunities for all individuals without any bias related to religion, gender, or age. Moreover, the university strictly adheres to a policy of complete intolerance towards any discriminatory actions. The university’s dedication to upholding this principle is evident in its continuous efforts to guarantee that everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or identity.
The University Charter prohibits discrimination based on gender, nationality, socioeconomic status, religious affiliation, political opinions, disability, and disease.
According to this charter, the subsequent actions are subject to punishment:
Manifestations of racism and discrimination against immigrants or based on national identity, religious beliefs, political views, race or minority status, social background, illness, and disability.
Hate speech is related to all forms of expression that spread, incite, promote, or justify discrimination or that express disapproval, humiliation, enmity, hatred, or violence.
Violating these regulations amounts to a fourth-degree transgression.


According to the ethical charter, any form of discrimination based on race, gender, color, ethnicity, language, handicap, or violation of human rights is considered highly serious.

According to Article 168 of the internal regulations of the University of Oum El Bouaghi, the university’s employees must carry out their duties with respect, impartiality, integrity, transparency, and honesty. These are principles that everyone must respect and implement.

These statistics confirm a convergence in the numbers of employees of both genders, as the total number of employees is 625, distributed across various grades and ranks, with 362 female and 263 male employees. Furthermore, the total number of university teaching staff is 1100, including 565 male and 535 female professors. The number of employees with special needs is six. The university provides them with all the necessary facilities to perform their work.
