- Design and construct new buildings in alignment with the highest energy efficiency standards and available environmental technologies.
- Foster the utilization of renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies in the design and construction of new university buildings.
- Raise awareness and schedule sensitization days for the university staff and students about energy consumption, conservation, and how to engage in sustainability efforts.
- Monitor and assess the performance of newly launched buildings on a regular basis to ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards.
- Principles:
- New Building Design and Construction: The University of Oum El Bouaghi embraces “green design” and “sustainable infrastructure” standards in the design and construction of new buildings. These standards encompass the use of environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems.
- Utilization of Renewable Energy Sources: The university explores the harnessing of renewable energy sources like solar and wind energy, incorporating them into the design of new buildings when feasible.
- Energy-Saving Technologies: The University of Oum El Bouaghi adopts energy-saving technologies, such as high-efficiency LED lighting and temperature control systems for rationing electricity and heat consumption.
