Non-Discrimination Policy – National Dimension

The University of Oum El Bouaghi has established its own policy against discrimination based on national considerations. This policy is built upon the Charter of Ethics and Morals of Higher Education Institutions (2021 and 2023 versions).

The Charter emphasizes mutual respect and prohibits symbolic, material, and verbal violence, moral or sexual harassment, discrimination, and bias within the university community.

Key Aspects:

ü  Rights and obligations of teaching and research professors and permanent researchers in both public and private sectors: These individuals must refrain from all forms of discrimination based on gender, nationality, ethnic background, social status, religious affiliation, political opinions, or disability and illness.

ü  Rights and obligations of administrative, technical employees, and department officers within the ministry and institutions: These individuals make decisions according to the prevailing rules, treat everyone fairly, and avoid any form of discrimination.

ü  Student rights and obligations: Students should not be subjected to discrimination based on gender, religious beliefs, political opinions, racial background, minority status, social origins, illness, or disability. They should not be subjected to psychological (moral) or sexual harassment.

ü  The Charter recognizes that diversity within higher education institutions and society requires appreciation, openness, and tolerance, all of which are essential conditions for coexistence.
