Scientific Description of The Team’s Research Program
Birds are good indicators because they occupy a wide diversity of habitats and are relatively easy to track. Their monitoring thus makes it possible to assess the state of conservation of several components of an ecosystem or an ecological network and to measure the effectiveness of conservation actions for a set of species and protected areas (DUPUIS and al., 2011). The main objective is the bio-ecological study of birds of agro-ecological interest thanks to their roles in the ecosystem and food chains. Avian species have the role of cleaner by feeding on corpses, and some causative agents and transmitters of diseases. There are avian species that act as pollinators of some plant species. Currently, scientific research carried out by plant protection organizations focuses on birds as a method of biological control, birds can play the role of predator by cleaning populations of harmful insects which represent real enemies of crops, or even against avian species that can cause damage to crops
